We finally got the green light for the clean-up work after the fire. A lot has happened on our Wefapress® premises in the last few months. We look back with pride on the past few weeks, during which our team and clean-up helpers have been hard at work clearing the Wefapress® site of the last remnants of the fire.
Last damages has been removed
The long-awaited cleanup could finally take place and there were quite a few things on the schedule: We had to remove the foundation from the subsoil in order to perform a soil analysis. Ice blasting was used to remove soot from a wall and our teams were able to start repairing the roofs. Now work can begin on repairing the halls and buildings.
Modern production facilities in planning
We are using the reconstruction of our production buildings for engineering plastics and plastic parts, to become even more modern and innovative than before - for this reason we have also directly taken care of solar panels for our shipping hall roof. With an output of up to 415 kWp (kilowatt peak), they will be able to supply us with sustainable electricity in the future.
Renewal also in machinery
In the meantime, a company has moved out of an neighboring Wefapress® building. We need space and are now moving into the building ourselves. We are proud of the drive of our team members and clean-up helpers, without whom everything would have progressed much more slowly. In the summer, many new machines will then arrive to increase our productivity and get the company running at full speed again. However, due to the current world situation, many dates remain flexible and cannot be guaranteed. If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to contact us via the customer service. The next step is now the reconstruction and the whole team of Wefapress® is looking forward to this important event. If everything goes smoothly, it will start soon.
