125 years of Wefapress®: an anniversary that deserves to be celebrated – though in a somewhat different way given the circumstances!

Founded in 1895 as Pickerfabrik Westfalia, Wefapress® marks its 125th anniversary in 2020 – an eventful history, to be celebrated in eventful times. Given the current situation we intend to do so with the necessary distance: we take you on a trip through our history and give you a glimpse behind doors that are otherwise closed – by means of posts on our social media channels.

We were actually intending to put on a big, lavish celebration in June. But unfortunately the corona pandemic has made this type of event impossible.

How are we going to celebrate our company anniversary in 2020?

Even though we can’t get together physically to celebrate, this doesn't mean to say we can’t mark the occasion in a different form. In order to ensure everyone stays healthy, we will simply hold our celebrations at home – and put the whole thing on the internet instead.

This is what it will look like: in the course of the coming weeks, we will be sharing entertaining, surprising and sometimes curious goings-on from 125 years of company history on our social media channels. We will let historical documents, contemporary witnesses and anecdotes from the past speak for themselves – as well as offering present-day behind-the-scenes glimpses of our plastics production.

We look forward to several weeks of fascinating insights, a joint celebration of our anniversary – and the moment when we can finally congratulate each other in person once again.
