Wefapress - plastic parts for the bulk industry
Bulk industry
Wefapress is a manufacturer and supplier of plastic sheets for machinery cladding in the bulk industry. We make cladding for train carriages, diggers, lorries, troughs, silos, funnels and much more. Our range of Flex Cover products made from PE-UHMW has good sliding properties thanks to a low sliding friction coefficient, which ensures an optimal flow of materials. PE-UHMW sheets are particularly suitable for bulk materials such as coal, iron ore, limestone, peat, sand, clay, and many more. High wear and chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, high impact resistance and noise insulation are all important criteria when choosing a plastic, which our Flex Cover product line meets.
At Wefapress, we have developed extensive expertise on plastic parts suitable for use in the bulk industry. Mechanical engineers have been using our plastic sheets made from PE-UHMW for decades. We are more than happy to provide personalised advice on the individual solutions that fit your requirements. We recommend our premium plastics Flex 88 and Flex Wear, as well as Flex Protect and Flex 77 for special applications and requirements in the bulk industry:
There are a number of basic ways to mount plastic sheets. As a rule, steel components are mounted with threaded welding bolts, while in steel concrete bunkers, countersunk head screws with expansion anchors are usually used. Elements are stuck together using Flex Protect with the one-sided rubber coating.
There are specific rules to bear in mind when selecting the sheet thickness of your cladding, which should usually fall somewhere between 10 and 15 mm. In special cases thicknesses of up to 40 mm may be advisable. Your choice of plastic is generally determined by criteria such as the bulk material you work with, flowability, grain size, moisture content and the design of the funnel.
Wefapress has decades of experience in cladding. As the world's first manufacturer of PE-UHMW sheets using the press sintering process, we have been gaining experience in fitting cladding since as early as 1958. By 1975, plastic sheets were recognised as an effective material for entire lorry bed linings. Here at Wefapress we use a very sophisticated CAD system, which we use to design plastic panels that perfectly fit our customers' funnels. Upon request, the sheet material can also be milled and pre-drilled as required before arriving on site. This service simplifies the mounting process on site considerably.
As a company that focuses on innovation, we don't just settle for any solution. It's important for us to be able to work closely with our customers. You can use our contact form as a fast and easy way to send us a message.
